Jonathan Hess I am excited to join the Webster staff as director of bands of and African percussion.   I am at home in St. Paul schools having completed his student teaching at Frost Lake Elementary and Central High School.  Before teaching at Webster, I taught general music at Bluff Creek Elementary in Chanhassen.   I also taught private lessons for 10 years. Outside of school, I serve as artistic director of the Minnetonka Civic Orchestra. As a performer, I am active in the Twin Cities and surrounging area.  I'm a percussionist with the Rochester Symphony and can be seen around town performing with a modern music trio call Axial Age, the Minneapolis-based roots group "Jug", as well as frequent work with 651-293-8625 x2132 jonathan.hess@spps.org the Lab Theater in Minneapolis. * "I believe that quality arts education is vital to a young persons social, creative, emotional, and intellectual development".
