Math is Everywhere! As the
Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 Math Coach, I am so lucky to work
the younger students in math. Their eagerness to learn about numbers,
and math operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) is
delightful. We enjoy exploring money, time, measurement, temperature,
geometry, and algebra! I am married and have three children,
all receiving a great education in the public school system. Besides
math, I enjoy reading, walking, and camping. I follow Minnesota Twins
baseball and Vikings football teams. | 651-293-8625

. . with something mathematically to look for: 152 - how do
you say this number? "One hundred fifty-two", not one hundred
and fifty-two We start teaching students in kindergarten the
word "and" means a decimal point in math. You would be surprised how
often radio and TV newscasters say "and". We even found errors in
books. Start listening to how numbers are said! |
