Greetings from Room 202E
I teach 2nd grade at Webster … The Enrichment Magnet. My students call me Mrs. Menon, and parents may call me Vatsala if they wish.

I received my Bachelors in Education in India and taught in a missionary school until I came to the U.S. in 1979. After a hiatus of almost 20 years, when I stayed home with my two sons and then worked for the State Farm Insurance, I returned to teaching in 1999. I enrolled in the College of St. Thomas and earned my Masters in Education. I was assigned to Webster in 1999.

I believe that discipline is vital to success. I hope to instill discipline, not only to help your children learn but also to give me an environment where I can teach effectively.

I live in Shoreview with my husband Rajan, an Aeronautical Engineer. Both my sons are away at college; Manas is a senior at Berkley College in California majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Arjun is a sophomore in IT at the University of Minnesota.

I love to read and travel and I'm absolutely passionate about gardening!
