Hello. My name is Ms. Geralyn Rogers. I chose to go into
teaching because I love kids. For me the biggest reward in
teaching is seeing a student grow academically, personally, and
socially.
My own kids are now young
adults. I have a daughter in medical school and a son who
works in the pharmaceutical area. I guess science runs in the
family. In my spare time I enjoy caring for my house plants,
gardening, bird watching, the arts, reading, and writing short stories
and poetry. I would like to one day have a story

Canyon, Devil’s Tower, the Badlands, investigating volcanoes and |
the
site of a mammoth dig, and the rain forest. The more I learn
the more amazing this world is to me.
I have a B.A.
in Elementary Education from Augsburg College. I believe in lifelong
learning and have taken many graduate courses in botany, geology,
ornithology (birds), and entomology (insects). What better
way to expand your knowledge than to study our fantastic world? I love
teaching science and want to impart curiosity and the love of learning
to my students. |
